  3. Hey I know what you mean man. For me, those days were the 80’s and 90’s when manual the real deal when it came to sports cars…fun and simple to drive.

  4. yeah, im not a big fan of what lamborghini has became. i dont like it when its all automated and cushioned. motorcycles with minimal driving assists, small simple supercars like caterham are exotic, fast, upgradable, mechanical. just like the top notch race cars, those are the shit. obviously nissan is aimed at the segment of technogeek fanboys, and its working. i prefer authentic, brutal machine whos feedback is not displayed on screen, but felt.

    And how can you say it’s a playstation on wheels? Would a Lamborghini Aventador be considered as a Playstation on wheels since it’s also computerized and automatic? You don’t speak of facts, you speak of opinions. You’ve no idea whatsoever what Nissan had to undergo to perfect the GTR’s acceleration

  6. well its a playstation on wheels… gadgets such as accelerometers are pretty useless, this car isnt filled with carbon fiber or other exotic material… it has a poorly drawn sedan bodywork and 2 unusable rear seats. its like a bigger and 2 door lancer or impreza with a v6…. clearly not worth 3 times the ultimate versions of these cars.

    with such few horsepower it simply cannot accelerate this fast, not physically possible even if it has infinite grip when launching

  7. Ehh whatever suits your taste dude. I don’t know why you consider the GTR overpriced when in fact it is a bang for your buck that can beat most “overpriced” European supercars. It can also seat 4 people while having a cargo trunk in the back. It has luxury amenities you would typically find in “overpriced” luxury cars.

    Keep in mind, this is all stock from factory. It’s amazing how you still doubt the fact that the GTR can do 0-60 in less than 3.5 or at least 3 seconds lol

  8. id be shocked to see a single nissan gtr in canada… especially during winter. if i was to try an awd car, id test a subaru or something not overpriced that could be built in a sleeper much faster than a gtr, with 3 usable rear seats and less fuel consumption

  9. I’ve test drove a 2012 GTR once and the most I’ve clocked in from 0-60 was 3.1 seconds…so of course a GTR can achieve less than 3.5 seconds. Maybe you should test drive one yourself so you will believe me.

    And no I’m not going to buy a GTR just so I can race your R1…lol.

  10. oops misread the model year. anyway, ive never seen the speedo of a gtr going from 0-60 in less than 3.5 sec… exept the ones with thousands hp. although ive seen so many bikes do 0-60 in less than 3 including mine. why dont u get a gtr so we can race

  11. The Porsche 911 Turbo S weighs 3491 lbs according to Car and Driver Magazine. So how is that “a thousand pounds” lighter to anything I’ve said so far? According to Car and Driver Magazine, they’ve also tested this car to go from 0-60 in 2.7 seconds. The Turbo S is powered by a twin-turbocharged DOHC engine and 7 speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission that puts out 530 HP and 516 ft-lb of torque.

  12. a porsche turbo s is almost a thousand pounds lighter and the all the weight is on the rear tires… yet from what ive read it doesnt go 0-60 in less than 3 secs. technology for road going cars is far from racecars which are rwd overpowered vechicles with minimal and aerodynamic bodywork. a sportbike is a racebike made street legal.

    Have you seen Ignition yet? Because I sure haven’t.
    Trust me, the guys on DRIVE may not be as “experienced” as the guys from MotorTrend, but they’re sure as hell more interesting.

  16. So because it’s a YouTube channel with cars, it’s copying something else? Really? YouTube said it was making dedicated channels like this months ago. MT didn’t just jump on board yesterday…plus, this is going to so much better than Drive. Drive has some talented guys with great shows, but if it’s not from Farah, Harris, or someone who’s been doing video for a while, it’s largely been lackluster. This’ll be better.

  17. Actually it’s 2.9 seconds WITH a 1 ft rollout. If you still don’t believe that this car can achieve a 0-60 in less than 3 seconds, then fine by me. Hell, even ask Motortrend yourself because they’ve tested this vehicle many times already.

    You don’t even need 1000 HP to reach 0-60 in less than 3 seconds. Even the Porsche Turbo S can reach 0-60 in less than 3 seconds and it doesn’t even have 1000 HP…lol.

    Technology for cars are rapidly changing and you know it’s a fact.

  18. in the video you sent, it did 3.1, which i doubt it even comes close. with a 3 feet rollout on my bike i would prolly do 0-60 in less than 2… about the turbo, it is only used to increase the volumetric efficiency, not yet as efficient as a motorcycle engine in this case but with a much higher boost, this is how 1000hp engines are made. a dual clutch tranny is very good but it doesnt do anything special for the launch, AWD is for low grip terrain.

    I know you like bike and all, but you don’t have to stay ignorant about cars, especially at what the GTR can do. Nissan designed this GTR out of pure science, not magic.
    So what if it’s 3800 lbs? It also has AWD, dual clutch transmission, twin-turbo, and other electronic gadgets you’ve probably never seen in a bike…lol.

  21. launch control does not magically push a 3800 lbs car… it only has 545hp, so i doubt it would accelerate as fast as my r1 which does 0-60 in just under 3 secs. difference is the bike has a power to weight ratio that is 3 times superior and a driver operated clutch that allows for the most efficient launches.

    if i want a fast awd, ill buy an old impreza for 3000 $ and use a tiny part of the 97000$ ill save on a turbo 4 thatll have a lot more hp than that nissan v6 tt

  22. Uhh…first of all, the GTR could reach 0-60 in less than 3 seconds with launch control. Secondly, the GTR does have supercar-like performance. Thirdly, why even mention the Camry? If you want to see a Nissan GTR with over 1000 HP then watch the ALPHA 12 GTR, then come back.

    Have you even watched InsideLine’s video of the 2013 GTR? If you haven’t, then I suggest you do because the GTR already blows away most Ferrari and Lambos at the track…and it’s only a NISSAN V6 TT 😀

  23. No shit the Camaro will handle…. GM gave it the best Magnetic suspension they had. Which is probably the best suspension being offered in production cars. A time of 7:40.2 is considerably disappointing. Still pretty damn well for a muscle car. But GM could’ve shaved some weight to make it 3,600 pounds, that could’ve led it to maybe a time in the 7:30s!

LOL 2.7 seconds, maybe if it had a thousand more horsepower and the grip to match. the camaro will handle as well, similar proportions and no power to the front wheels to cause understeering. sorry, but the gtr is nowhere near a supercar, even a camry has a lower stance and weights a lot less.

  25. How is it a waste of time? Well IT IS a waste of time. Just look up how the GTR takes on the Nurburgring, Laguna Seca, etc. You would know the outcome already if you pit those two damn cars together in a race whether its drag or track racing.

    GTR is just whole different class for the ZL1 AND GT500 even though they all have launch controls…lol 😛

  26. Dude…what’s the point of comparing 2013 GTR to the ZL1? The GTR would obviously blow it away…

    The ’13 GTR does 0-60 in 2.7 seconds and high 10’s in the quarter mile.
